Casa de Banho in Ink and a Very Portuguese Eh Pá
2023-03-22
“Casa de Banho” in Ink is our Portuguese word of the day. This one comes with a little bonus though, a classic way of talking around here, “Eh Pá!”. It’s an expression a lot of Brazilians know too, mostly from Portuguese immigrants who use it all the time back home. In Brazil, we’d probably say “E aí?” or “Opa!”, but “Eh Pá” is just cooler.
But let’s actually talk about “Casa de Banho”. One of the first differences we noticed here in Portugal, as Brazilians, is right there in the bathroom. The light switch is on the outside.
