Braga and Coimbra in Two Pages of One Sketchbook

I ended up making one drawing in each city. It was an oversight, I know, but that’s what happened.
A record of a cold, rainy night in Braga, just before the rain really set in. A duo of street musicians was playing nearby, bass and drums, an explosive, loud, and really fun sound.
On the other page, the view from our first breakfast in Coimbra. It was right after we arrived to explore this amazing city. The shops were still closed on Rua Direita.
We had coffee, or brunch, whatever you want to call it. It was at one of those hipster cafés with trendy modern food, right in front of Praça 8 de Maio, before we really started our walk.
